“25” - Romanian Cultural Institute, NYC
Commemorative Installation, celebrating twenty-five years of US-Romania strategic partnership.
Installed in the lobby of the Romanian Cultural Institute in New York City, “25” showcases key moments of the partnership thorough photographs from the Diplomatic Archives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania. The black and white photographs are printed on aluminum tiles and are arranged chronologically as the ascending facets of an unending column. The motto of the exhibit, “only freedom can make such miracles”, points to the condition and purpose of the ongoing diplomatic project, particularly important at this time of war and aggression in Eastern Europe.
