Atelier Cue in collaboration with LADA P.C. Land Planners, joined the Committee of Newport Middle Passage Port Marker Project to lead a visioning workshops and report for the development of concepts for a Middle Passage Memorial monument in Liberty Square. The monument will honor Africans who lost their lives on slaves ships as well as survivors of the journey and their descendants. Students in the architecure department at University of Hartford created concept designs for the memorial, presented to the NMPPMP Committee in an engaging review at UHart.
